SDA homes are designed specifically for people with very high support needs and must meet strict NDIS design requirements. These homes support safety, accessibility and daily living in ways that standard accessible housing does not.

    Specialist disability accommodation funding generally contributes to the cost of the housing itself, including the design features of the home. It doesn’t cover everyday living costs, such as rent, food, utilities or personal support. Exactly what is covered will depend on your individual NDIS plan and approval.
